Hatcher's Pass

Took a trip to Hatcher's Pass last weekend and had a great time. -Even though it rained and rained! The Independence Gold Mine is there and was closed in 1943. There are lots of old buildings and you can even go part way into the old shaft. We will go back and pick blueberrys the end of August.

Maternity - Pretty momma

Here are a few from one of my latest maternities. I was thrilled with how this session turned out and so was she. : ) I made a 9x7 coffee table book for her and it turned out fantastic.

I know not everyone looks as dainty as she does when pregnant. I personally gained 50 lbs with each child. But I do want to say that everyone can have maternity photos and look beautiful. It's all about the light and shadows. If you have been on the fence and don't think it's for you, please call and talk to me about it. I can work with all body types.

Seattle - Pikes Market

I was lucky enough to be able to go to Seattle with a fellow photographer friend for a workshop. While there we spent 2 1/2 hours walking around the public market taking pictures of all to be seen. We had a marvelous time and who better to be with than another photog as my family would not have the patience for me to take 30 pics of fruit and veggies, LOL.

Seward

My family and I spent two days in Seward, Alaska where we visited the Sea Life Center there. My kids had an awesome time in the hotel pool. It was great to go back and visit as we lived there 8 years ago.

Birthday Invitations!

My little girl is turning 8! I still can't believe it. Here is the front side of her birthday invitations. I am going to print them on metallic paper and they should be fantastic! -The reverse side (not shown) has all the info on it.

She started ice skating lessons last month and moved up to pre-alpha so she was thrilled. I bought her a cute little figure skating dress off ebay to celebrate. So of course the only thing to do was to have an ice skating birthday party now.

BTW, the photo is fake, LOL. It was done in my living room. But she really looks like she is skating the little ham. She did that all on her own.

New member of the family!

Here is our newest member of the family. Seven month old long haired chihuahua, Skippy! He is an absolute love bug! While he is still adjusting to us, he is doing really well. The funniest thing about him is he loves to snuggle under the blankets at night.

Also, he always wants to sit on my lap... which makes it nearly impossible to take his picture. I did manage to sneak this one in quickly in his new coat using the light from the window.

This is a sneak peek for my latest maternity session with "H". She has such a beautiful smile. I had so much fun and the best part is I get to do it all over again when the baby comes! She paints children's rooms and furniture and I can't wait to see some of her work. The lovely silhouette in the previous post is also her.

Hi and welcome to my new blog! My name is Amy and I am the owner of Amy Green Photography. I am a photographer in the Eagle River and Anchorage area whose focus is on the family. I specialize in Maternity, Newborns, Children and Wedding Photography.

I had put off blogging for a while but now think it's time to jump right in. Mostly I will be using this as a tool to keep in touch with my clients. I will be giving sneak peeks from recent clients and news about upcoming specials and limited edition sessions. So stay tuned for more to come. : )
